About us
Feeding Coventry is a small charity with big ambition: To create a food resilient city where nobody goes hungry.

We first opened our doors on 13 March 2020 with the launch of our social supermarket. And then just two weeks later, Covid-19 meant the UK went into a national lockdown. Instead of closing our doors, we knew we'd be needed more than ever so we adapted to the changing government regulations and supported people in need.
And since then, we've gone from strength to strength, providing more services and supporting more people..
-
In 2021, we distributed 6421 food parcels
-
We support 300-400 people each week
-
We have provided food and activities to over 700 school children through our holiday activities and food programme
When people come to us, they’re often dealing with a host of complex life challenges which can include financial difficulties, mental or physical ill health, isolation, language barriers, parenting struggles and other problems.
That’s why we work with members to provide a range of support to help address the issues that led them into food poverty.
Our staff and volunteers help create a welcoming environment based on our values of dignity, choice and supporting people and put quality, choice and sustainability at the heart of our operations.
“...it was a bit worrying having to go there. Worrying what people might think of you. but when we got there, everyone was so nice."
"...the centre being reopened and used for lots of activities, there's always someone there to listen... it's all about community coming together"
“i feel part of a community, met so many nice people and made friends along the way. i just feel happy to be part of it really.”
